Analysis :
I hate luv storys is a typical bollywood movie again. The music and background score by Vishal and Sekhar was really good. For a debutant director he has done a very good job but his predictable story let him down. The dialogues of the movie were excellent especially the witty dialogues are really very new. First of the movie is really good and entertaining which made feel that I don't need an intermission. The second half is so dragged that I felt like when the movie will be completed. The chemistry between lead pair is really good in the first half because there are very few scenes together in second half.
Story :
Jay is an assistant director who hates love stories but by fate he works for a director who makes love stories.
Simran is art director who has a fiance Raj who is Mr.Right. She lives a perfect life until Jay enters her life. But seeing his easy go nature Simran falls in love with him. Whether Jay falls for her to make it a love story falls the remaining story.
Performances :
Imran Khan
He has given a very good performance. I personally think he is suitable only for love stories. I feel like that he has no variety in his dialogue diction if that can be improved he can be a very good actor. He needs to improve his performance in sentimental scenes.
Sonam Kapoor
She looked gorgeous, especially in Sari. Her performance is also improved film by film. But sometimes I observed that her face is blank without expression.
The guy (Who is in Sprite ad) has done an excellent job. He made sure that we have few laughs.
Highlights :
1. Dialogues are really trend setting - Witty and Spontaneous.
2. Songs are too good to listen and watch. They make you feel like they are integral part of the story
Negatives :
Use less second half with routine and predictable plot.
Final Say :
People who hate love stories stay away from it. With good music, dialogues and some reasonable performances it can be watched if you don't have any other option.
